Para Aniya: Stoned Exhibit of Jun Filamor at SM Bicutan

In celebration of SM Supermalls’ 30th year celebration, SM City Bicutan launched the Stoned Exhibit by Jun Filamor from Parañaque, with 30 pieces of stone sculptures. The exhibit will run from February 24 to March 15 at the Atrium on Building B.

Here’s a text description of the artist from Tiny Nuyda:

Jun Filamor was born on March 9, 1945 in Manila.

Perhaps because of being naive and artless that makes Jun Filamor a prevalent standout artist in his simple carved images. Instead, he has a natural special faculty of collected abilities.

Shown in his sculptures, the state of artlessness, sincerity and plainness, are the components and force of his art pieces.

Little has been documented and written around Filamor’s art. Similar to some known artists, his life depicts simple, ordinary and common existence, he is known both for his eroticism and religious subjects.

His art pieces are fine discoveries that sort of stirs the heart of art lovers, viewers and collectors.
