South of Metro | by Homerun Nievera | Finding Jenny Bakery in Hong Kong (Tsim Sha Tsui) | It has been about four years since we — my wife and I — set foot in Hong Kong. The pandemic and hard lockdowns in our country The Philippines, as well as in Hong Kong, have derailed our plans of going back to the place our kids refer to as their province. We’re not Hong Kong residents. Our relatives from my wife’s family are. But since we have been going to Hong Kong every year, our now grown-up kids have come to know Hong Kong as their second home.
Now back to Jenny Bakery, the home of the finest butter cookies on the island. I’m sure you have come to this article while searching for the Jenny Bakery shop, most likely in the Tsim Sha Tsui area.
About Jenny Bakery
Just a quick one first. Jenny Bakery was established in 2005 by a woman called simply as Auntie Jenny. Originally a baking hobby, Jenny shared her butter cookies among friends and family. Her cookies became so in demand that she finally established her first Jenny Bakery shop in Stanley. Take note of the teddy bear-inspired tin cans as Jenny has teddy bear collections. In fact, her cookies are nicknamed “smart bear cookies.” Both shops open at 10 am and there are no dine-in options.
How to get to Jenny Bakery in Tsim Sha Tsui
There are actually two shops you can go to. One is in Sheung Wan and the other is in Tsim Sha Tsui. I’m giving you the one in Tsim Sha Tsui because probably, you’re a tourist and would know the area better. So here goes the way to get there.
The exact address is on the first floor of the Mirador Mansion (Shop 42) at number 62 Nathan Road. The ground floor shop (#24) is closed, so don’t bother going there.
Take Exit D1 on the Tsim Sha Tsui Station. Across the exit is a small Tudor watch shop. Walk towards Mody Road, turn left and you will see the Mirador Mansion entrance (about 10 to 20 meters from Nathan Road).
