Infobip, a global cloud communications company, is expanding its presence in Southeast Asia by partnering with Viber to execute impactful business dialogue. This is a big boost for the international tech company—Viber is one of the most trusted messaging apps in the region, helping brands reach customers effectively and securely.
Infobip is a telecommunications and IT company that connects businesses with people via mobile. It does this by using a process called A2P SMSC, which lets brands send automated messages directly to customers. With several high-profile clients worldwide, Infobip is known for its maximum privacy and reliability, having invested €1.8 million in security, infrastructure, and data protection. It has garnered a presence in 56 countries since its establishment in 2006, making it one of the most important tech groups today.
Infobip’s partnership with Viber, therefore, ups the latter’s business potential. There are many ways for businesses to utilize Viber: in Myanmar for example, City Mart, one of the country’s largest retail chains, is using Viber enabled by Infobip to improve customer experiences through a loyalty card.
Similarly, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is planning to utilize Viber and Infobip to enhance the customer experience for their cardholders.
”We are very excited to begin working with Viber and Infobip. There is significant value in exploring how we can apply Viber in reaching out to our clients, our BPI cardholders. Viber will serve as a relevant new channel for our bank where we can further our customer engagement,” said Monica Vergara, Head of Marketing and Media Solutions at BPI Cards.
For businesses, reaching customers effectively requires precision. Selecting the right channels is therefore pivotal to communications strategies. ”As Infobip continues its growth in the APAC region, we are thrilled to experience an increase of onboard businesses using Viber. Enabling an enhanced customer experience applies to so many business verticals and reaching the customers on the right channel or chat app couldn’t be more important,” said Alma Numic, Managing Director Infobip APAC.
This partnership is in line with Viber’s approach to communication, which focuses on security and accessibility without risking progressive development. “Viber is defining a new era of innovative ways to speak directly with your customers in the palm of their hands and in the same way they talk to their friends,” said Cristina Constandache, Chief Revenue Officer at Viber. “We are excited to be expanding our partnership with Infobip and working with leading brands in the Philippines.”
