51Talk, a leading Online English Teaching Language platform in the country today, opened its seventh training center in Quezon City recently. This is in line with 51Talk’s goal of widening its operations in the Philippines and is expected to help newly launched teachers equipped themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary for becoming effective home-based online teachers.
At the center, selected teachers will undergo 51Talk’s Center-Based Training Program (CBT Program) for 30 days to be a full-fledge home-based online teacher, and only after completing and passing the technical and teacher training. Under the CBT Program, they will have face-to-face training and real-time coaching provided by onsite trainers and QAs. These will help them not only in being effective home-based online English teachers but also in properly navigating online teaching technology.
“QUEZON CITY is where we started everything, and it is in Congressional where we started our humble beginnings, “said MS. JENNIFER QUE, 51TALK VP for Philippine Operations. With the launching of the CBT Center “People at the training centers get to take advantage of the real-time and technical support provided by them, added Ms. Que.
As of this date, 80% of the total students in the platform are children, and the company opted for training to be more intensive, intimate and interactive. They aims to have 100,000 quality teachers within the next five years. And to ensure the quality of these teachers, they must attend the CBT.
